I'm sure that many here knew Fred or recognized him as a regular at UMass events:

My dear friend Fred Harris passed away. Fred was at practices and sat on our bench for games at UMass. Great guy. We are all gonna miss him!!! Praying for his family.

Spent a couple semesters working at the umass mailroom. Unbelievably friendly and funny guy.
