More on-campus housing likely

Post by InnervisionsUMASS » Thu Sep 13, 2018 2:09 pm

As alluded to in the football forum....

https://www.masslive.com/business-news/ ... ew_ho.html

The article is fun to read. The town wants more UMass students on campus but also closer to downtown so they can frequent the businesses. UMass comes up with a plan, only to have the Town Planner poo-poo the idea and the residents of the Fearing St neighborhood complain about foot traffic. Something never change with Amherst.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

Classic. They want all the benefits of living in a college town without the colleges. If it wasn't for UMass Amherst would be Bondsville. They can enjoy going to the Gin Mill and the Bondsville Dairy bar for dinner on the weekends as their sole source of entertainment.
Raise the bar, do the minimum.

Just the perfect Amherst/UMass story.
