Great game! We won 1 to 0 with a 3rd period goal by Scot Morrow! Murry pitched a shutout. Lots of big hits. Refs called only one penalty (against Providence w/ ~3 minutes left in the game). UMass dominated the the 1st period; Providence the second. The third period was about even.

Yup...

SM & Mrs SM just home from the game...

Commonwealth Club had the exact same food again...same every game...getting extremely redundant and rather boring...
Considering Dining Services highest rating, this menu ranks mediocre on the healthy list...

Is it too much to hope for a sweep of the Friars? If UMASS wins then we are definitely in the top ten in the polls on Monday. GO UMASS!

I think we'll see more scoring tonight, which has not been a UMass strength to date. Our hockey team is always competitive and watchable, that's for sure. And we are now a highly desired team to play on. GREAT COACHING = GREAT RESULTS.

Well, wrong so far as it is another low-scoring checking affair, with more penalties.

UM up 1-0 after 2.

Awesome weekend. Night and day difference between this program and the other one that played a team from the Ocean State today.

Such a contrast in all aspects of the teams. And they literally played within a half-hour of each other - so easy to compare.

Great weekend for the hockey team. They played a strong game against Providence and dominated the third period. I was surprised that Providence did not put up more of a fight. Is UMASS that good or is HockeyEast not so good? The OOC record for HE schools is pretty weak. Hope UMASS brings the momentum against BU next weekend.

^ In Bucci’s new ranking out yesterday, at #8 we are the top Hockey East team.

This was a very good weekend for the Minutemen.... a nice grind it out win at home and a smacking on the road. There's a long way to go, but one can feel pretty good coming out of this weekend about our team.
