^ Some folks from here were also in the house.

If Cale can keep up this pace and stay healthy, he will be in with some elite company:

This guy's rant about Makar not being voted by the fan vote to the all-star game is a fun read and kind of reminiscent of some posts we get on this message board. Down toward the bottom is a link to Cale's recent visit back to UMass which includes a short video.

As of today- #1 scoring leader among rookies....as a defenseman. Tied for #7 among all defensemen. Not a bad start to your NHL career.

Proud he played for the Minutemen!

He never ceases to amaze. He's played in 41 games and has a total of 3 minor penalties for 6 minutes.

Did you guys catch the SB commercial last night (think it was the Snickers Hole one) where they made fun of the baby name "Kale." Gave me a good chuckle but also - otherworldly talent aside - I can only hope I raise my own son to be as good of a human being as our UMass baby Cale. I will now be buying a Milky Way instead.

Got one assist last night to end his (first) three-game pointless streak. 43 points in 50 games ain't too shabby. For a rookie. For a defenseman.

More discussion on RoY.

Hughes is making a strong case for himself and can gain more ground with Makar currently missing at least three games with another upper body injury.

I like the NHL injury reports lack of details. Obviously they will have to change that if betting on hockey becomes more popular.

Back in the lineup last night. Three assists in the 3-2 OT win. Pretty significant return.

I learned today that hockey assists are also known as apples.
