Game 13 (2018-19): UConn

Post by Marshmont_63 » Mon Nov 26, 2018 1:20 am

#NewMass keeps on rolling! UMass is #1 in the PairWise rankings for college hockey. After beating a very good Princeton team this past Saturday, the 11-1 Minutemen take on the 5-8-1 Huskies this upcoming Friday in Amherst. Another chance to pick up critical points in Hockey East. This is the only game this weekend for us, so hopefully the boys bring the intensity so we can carry our momentum into a tough home-and-home next weekend against Quinnipiac. Go UMass!

First a football win - a nice beating on the Ice next would be fantastic!

Every game gets bigger and bigger as the team continues to win. This is the last chance to pick up Hockey East points in the fall semester. Hoping for a big crowd. The team deserves it. See you all there.

Students are back. As long as they keep pushing "#3" the crowd should be huge.

I'll be there + at least 3. The hockey team has my attention. I'll be going to at least 4 games by the end of Dec. I've never gone to more than 3 before in an entire season. Usually hard to do between season tickets for BB and to also try to get to a lot of hockey games.

Good opportunity to extend D1s longest current winning streak!

Serious question. I have a parking pass for Lot 67 (The lot behind Mullins) for 1 game (not this one, just a thread to ask the question). I plan to take my wife, but she has bad knees and can't walk up a lot of steps. Can you get in the back and take the elevator up or do you have to walk all the way up and around and go in through the north entrance?

I've never parked in Lot 67 for a game and have no idea. Thanks.

You should be able to walk in that back entrance. There is normally someone down there with a ticket scanner. Might be best to reach out to someone in the Department to confirm.

Thanks for the info. My wife especially thanks you. She has never been to a BB or Hockey game, she's more into football. Poor choice!!!

For anyone else with my question, I just got an EMail from Jason Germain. You can indeed enter through the back, have your ticket scanned and take the elevator up. Happy wife, happy life!!!

 ^ Bad, bad post. You will now be competing with 2,318 folks to get through that door and up that elevator.

I assume this is because of the hockey game tonight, but not certain...

The Power and Class of New England just stormed through Downtown Amherst playing "Fight Massachusetts". It was an awesome spectacle. They also played Fight Mass at a slower pace than they normally do at sporting events, much better when it's slow IMO.

Guess that's what happens when your hockey team is top 5 in the nation :D

GO U!
