They didn't quite smack the hell out of them, but I'm quite pleased with the sweep! It's a good feeling when talent and coaching come together. Should be Top 5 today.

I'm beginning to think that these might actually be the glory days.

I have been around since about 1965 and don't remember any glory days for hockey. Educate me and a lot of others.

The 1972 team that won the ECAC D2 Title says hi.

The 2006-07 NCAA tournament team also says hi.

While not as great an accomplishment as the two above, the 2003-04 team that agonizingly lost the Hockey East championship to Maine, 2-1 in triple OT also says Hello. Greatest hockey game I have ever seen (Wasn't at the 5-OT victory over ND in the Hockey East playoffs)

Could also add the 2002-2003 team that made it to the Garden by sweeping Maine @ Alfond - unheard of at that time.

There have been some good days in the past, but this is the highest ranked ever. Long season still ahead to determine where this team ends among those other teams, but get out there and see and support them.

I was hoping you would chime in on this topic. Yourself, Rocks and '02 are my go to alum for anything 'ockey.
I agree with 78 about that 3ot game in the Gaahden.
They lost but it was one of the most fun times I have ever had at a UMass sporting event and that includes the Gabe Mouneke hoops game vs Texas.

Indeed what a fun 2 weekends. The game at the Garden was so much fun to watch as a fan.

Ok, now back to hockey
