Great test for 'who they are' into mid-November. Amazing how the "H.E. poor, now are the rich", and vice versa.

On USCHO, there's a lot of the "its still UMass, so they suck no matter the results" attitude. Especially from the fans of the traditional powerhouse teams. Its like they can't believe that we are as good as advertised

This weekend will be a *huge* test for the team. PC are the real deal and have been for the last few years.

Can't blame them for thinking that way. It seems like with every sport, as soon as there is a sniff of some potential greatness, the teams fall on their faces. Not suggesting that will happen here, but there's a bit of a basis for that with our school.

With that said, I think UMass smacks the hell out of PC this weekend in both games and the crowd is going to be huge at The Bill.

PC only beat Holy Cross 3-0 over the weekend. That looks like a better result than it actually was too, first goal on a PP and the third being an empty net. While they have a good record, they've struggled in their big games this year. I think UMass has a serious chance to sweep, but probably split. The Athletic Department has been really hyping the game, so the turnout should be decent too.

Brian, I agree that with other sports, that’s what has happened. This team/culture that Carvel and his staff have built is totally different from those other sports, that had inferior talent and inferior coaching. #NewMass is here to stay!!

Well, that's also happened with this sport. I'm not at all suggesting that it will continue, but it's hard to get mad at others for having that attitude based on our history... hockey and other sports alike. I believe in Carvel and what he has built and is building here. We're on the same page with that.

Believing in the future doesn't change the past.... but I do believe they are re-writing the script.
