I knew Braun was pretty good, but I didn't think he was that good. A 2nd and a 3rd? That's a pretty good haul.

I'm all in for this, in a year or two. Probably never happened before. Penguins camp.

They also invited a goalie named Matt Murray from UMass Amherst, who from what I’ve seen is pretty solid. Just imagine, Matt Murray backed up by Matt Murray. Other teams would never know which goalie to expect

Avs traded Tyson Barrie to the Leafs. Joe Sakic specifically mentions the arrival of Cale Makar as a factor in the decision.

Ty for your response.

I am just so unclear as to which of the players drafted or in NHL camps will be returning.

Last year Makar was such a big story, coming back and winning Hobey Baker and being on a team that made finals.

Lindberg was a nice story too, from backup to a run to the finals, though I felt bad for Murray. If both are back we have probably the best goalie tandem in college hockey.

I assume Zach Jones, drafted before palying at UMass, will plays season for us before going NHL? How does he compare to Makar when Makar first started NCAAs. Is this a guy who is expected to fill the void?

I don’t see anyone who was at an NHL camp not coming back. I would be shocked if jones is not here for at least two years. Tons of players go to NHL camps every year. Usually, unless they are high round draft picks, they hang around for 3-4 years in college. No one is going to completely fill the void left by Makar and Ferraro, but the defense should be fine.
