I renewed. Already had my money from the NU quarterfinals that were cancelled pre covid but I figured I could put down an extra $50 now.

Have gotten very used to being able to get a second seat fairly close to mine whenever I have someone else coming. Those days might be gone. I’m ok with that.

Think anyone might try to poach an assistant off the staff to run another program?

Yes, I could see Barr being Maine's next head coach.

Yeah, I would think he'd be a guy people would be looking at from what people say about him. Would be a tough loss

^ Univ. of Maine has less than 8,000 undergrads and is not growing. They have billboards around New England trying to poach students with in-state tuition rates. Is that a situation that a solid up and coming young coach should consider? Maybe the hockey program overrides the problems. Any opinions on that?

Nope. Wasn't really referencing any one spot, just have heard a lot of people speak highly of him and I'm guessing he'd get a lot of interest from schools looking

The school got an unprecedented donation from the Harold Alfond Foundation of $240M back in October. Part of that will go towards upgrading the hockey facilities.
  • Substantial upgrades to Alfond Arena, including a new enlarged entryway and concourse area, the installation of high definition video and ribbon boards, a new sound system, and upgraded Wi-Fi and television production services.
  • Expansion of the Shawn Walsh Hockey Center, with new locker rooms for both men's and women's ice hockey, a new strength and conditioning center, along with a new hockey development center, new film rooms, new offices, and new team lounges.

Cale's younger brother might be here next year to help us "Defend the Trophy". He's bigger than Cale and plays wing.

Matt Murray has withdrawn from the transfer portal and is returning for his fifth season.

What do we know about Fille's status? He made SI's current "Faces in the Crowd" (yes, that still exists) with comments about his goals against average and save percentage, and him being the first European goalie to win the NCAA title.

I'd suspect that Matt made his decision knowing that Lindberg is leaving. Can't envision Matt sticking around if Lindberg was as well.
