Add Womens Hockey

Why on Earth have we not added Womens hockey? This would open the door to adding 12-15+ scholarships to the once proud Minutemen baseball program.

Even if UMass did add women's hockey (which I agree they should) it still wouldn't be a 1-for-1 add for more men's scholarships.

UMass isn't 100% even in compliance for Title IX as it is. Adding WIH would be good, but cutting baseball and reallocating whatever scholarships they have (which is maybe 1.0) somwhere else is the much more sensible play.

Regardless of adding any women's sport, UMass should have cut baseball already.

i disagree.. money should never be an issue in Massachusetts. I also think band scholarships to women should be used to offset football.

I knew a guy that would visit a resort in South Carolina every year, and tell me there was an alligator there that a local would feed lunchmeat to every day around the same time. Eventually this Gator got much bigger, and still came around looking for his handout every day. This, for obvious reasons could become very dangerous in a resort setting

I do not believe that band scholarships play any role in athletic Title IX requirements. It's not an NCAA sport or part of the athletic department.
