UM down 2-0 now and I cannot tolerate listening to these announcers anymore. I'll check stats once in a while instead.

I've got the video on, but have it muted. Terrible product.

Yes, now it's over. There was still 7 minutes left when he posted it was over.

Disappointing result but a very successful season none the less. I think the team can grow from here.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

For a team that was projected to finish 8th in conference, overall a very good season. Something to build on, definitely.

Don't really know much about the soccer team. Are we losing anyone that was a key component to this year? Would anyone categorize this as a "lucky" year where everything fell into place properly and players performed to their best abilities, a la 2013 Red Sox, or is this a building block and this coach is the real deal?

Looks like the NCAA knew what it was doing in not seeding us, as we were never really in this game today. I watched several games this year and while UMass was highly successful, it plays a style of soccer that can be shut down by the right kind of defense. It's offense almost entirely consists of firing long balls into the box and hoping that Davis Smith can get a head on it and direct it into the goal or direct it to another player who can possibly score. It obviously worked much of the year, but it is tough to come back from a one-goal deficit, never mind two, playing this way. I think the coach is tremendous. He knew what he had for players and adapted the style of play to take advantage of the strengths. It will be interesting to see how the team plays next year, but it was a great year and nice to see the revival.

Colgate, ugh, the same team who beat our Lacrosse team when we were ranked 1, but then 8 from what I remember in the NCAA tournament.

As Mike said, predicted 8 in the conference and then won the conference and made the big dance, that's a great season right there! Let's keep moving forward and progress from here.

---

Fordham is still in it, in the quarter finals. Beat #11 Virginia to get there. VCU got a bye in the first round and lost in the 2nd round to Butler.\

Also, Colgate beat #13 Michigan, so it looks like we got a tough draw.

Colgate lost to Louisville today by the score of 2-0. Fordham, a team UMass beat in the A10 semi's but lost to in the regular season, continues to carry the A10 flag as they upset #6 Duke (8-7 in PK's) today to advance to the Elite 8 against UNC. Impressive win considering they lost to Duke 0-3 back in August.

Anyone know what happened to this? Why the final product is so different than the design? I'd imagine it was a lack of money but just curious if anyone has any more info.

Renderings look like a top class soccer facility - certainly better than Rudd at the moment.

Other priorities popped up (Football Performance Center, pressbox, Champions Center). With more pressing capital improvements needed, don’t hold your breath.
