UMass went 15-6 to Dayton's 14-5-1 and we beat them 3 out of 3! It's a very bad draw since the 1 and 2 seeds don't play on Wednesday which is a big advantage! The A10 a standings say 14-5-1 equals a 72.5% . . . to our 71.4% . Don't get their math either!
Dayton played 20 games and won 14 of them. 14 divided by 20 is 70%. BUT...they also had a tie, which is counted as a half. So the math is 14.5 divided by 20, which is 72.5%.
They have a better winning percentage, they get the higher seed, head to head record means nothing as they are not tied.
