Better than being on the street.
Look, I get it. Just hate reading the press crap with "elevating our institution" with this great move...paraphrasing the Bamford press release. It was any port in a storm, and I'll admit it's been pretty stormy. If we can cut down on the body bag payout games and maybe just be competitive I could come around to accepting MAC 2.0.

Dennis, they'll still have to get their three paychecks a year with the skyrocketing cost of football!

Can't believe I have to miss the big day on March 7th, celebrate this grand event in the Hunt Hospitality Suite, and have a chance to meet Jon Steinbrecher. Thanks and been a thorn in the side of a half dozen folks 8) Glad we finally moved out of the A10.

Please UMass tape the whole thing and pan the room to see a lot of happy expressions and celebration.
Go UMass!!

Idk what the MAC has in the hopper. A Marshall fan thinks the MAC is in discussions with 3 institutions.
Western Kentucky fans are split between wanting the SB, staying or moving to the MAC. TOPSTRAIGHT is strongly in favor of staying in CUSA. (Fans do not make the decisions.) https://247sports.com/college/western-k ... 35/?page=1

This is from the Gohens.net site.

When is Delaware officially in CUSA?

Rumors and I’ll say it again rumors flying that Delaware could still go the MAC before July 1st thus avoiding the CUSA exit fee

Of course they would need to be invited and even if they were, Delaware is probably not even contemplating such a move

Credibility: slim to none

Temple isnt out of the question.. good chance the AAC is raided this summer and Temple decides MAC better fit. Also, dont count out Navy and Army coming over. I would advise on the doomesday people against this move to look forward and not backward. I dont think JMU would leave the sunbelt but maybe Richmond moves up to FBS level and joins MAC

It would be pretty cool if Delaware decided to switch to the MAC. Geographically the MAC makes much more sense than CUSA for the Blue Hens and we'd at least have one old school football rival in the MAC.

On twitter and boards, these could be the 3 institutions.
A tweeters tweet that I like.
Love to see Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, and for Delaware to flip to MAC to make 16 teams. Then would just have to figure out which team joins UMass, Buffalo, Delaware, in the East pod.
Image at 16 teams, perhaps the media contract goes to 18M.
Go UMass!!

Not sure why Delaware is being rumored... seems odd that they would consider switching the decision they've already made.

If not Delaware, and the MAC is serious about expanding east, other options could include Buffalo's fellow public NY universities Albany and Stony Brook. Maine, UNH, URI might also be attractive as conference members from a UMass point of view, but I'm not sure how serious their support would be to upgrade.

Hey Big Ben Miami dude, please stop enabling Steve! The dude has been obsessed with conference talk and might really think he contributed to the Umass move. He is not a true representative of the normal Umass fan.
