I had a severe knee injury about 14 years ago now so I've gotten to know the mechanisms of the knee a little too well. If he has a meniscus tear, it all depends on what type of tear it is, where it is, etc. Some of them can heal on their own if you give it a long enough bout of rest. If it's a severe tear (I don't know if it is, if it is, he shouldn't even be playing), he'll probably need arthroscopic repair. When you hear knee "sprain", it just means it was a tiny tear of either the meniscus or usually the MCL if it's a ligament injury. Those injuries usually heal on their own. An MCL sprain or tear generally doesn't require surgery just rest and rehab, given the fact that there is a lot of blood flow to that ligament given its location. I would guess he's dealing with an ongoing MCL sprain/tear and if he is playing, it's not bad enough to keep him out so I am betting on rest and rehab (no surgery) in the offseason.
P.S. I am not a doctor just a patient dealing with the ebbs and flows of right knee pain and swelling.

It’s ok to read and not respond with the same bs every time there is a conference discussion. You have repeated yourself about a thousand times throughout the season.Steve81 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 10:06 pmMy apologies to dennisdent, sorry about the responses. But to be fair Camby4life, dennisdent and Berkman where talking about conferences. The line of finding a football conference for the football program was OK for a while, but 8 years is unacceptable. Imagine if you failed at one of your goals year after year for 8 years how your boss would treat you. Did not need to over react, my apologies.ZooMass84 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 6:26 pmSteve.......enough already.......Camby4Life wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:26 pm
How are you talking about this shit again? Every football thread is Steve talking about conferences. It’s unreal.dennisdent wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 4:25 pmUMass does look like it would be a good fit. Hope it happens. UMass is 1 - 2 in the conference this season.

Liberty is the final chance for a Umass 2023 opponent to get a bowl win. So far they are 0-6.
