Kept it under 100. That's a win.

Didn’t watch the game today, but looking at the stats I see some obvious positive take away from the game:

1) the defense stepped it up in the second half and kept the nit lions from doubling up on the first half score.
2) an even split in the turnover battle.
3) Coaches Brown and Casula achieved the objective of a run heavy offense with a nice 60/40 split on yards gained (it’s not often the yards gained and the percentages are nearly identical!).
4( won the time of possession battle.

Not sure what they will find to work on improving during the bye week…

UMass football: undefeated all time at keeping the opponent under 💯
UMass Football: 22-3 at home when I was a student.

Leave the A-10!

Yay the athletic department actually uploaded a press conference from a road game. I'll take the small Ws.

Just hoping the admissions department can handle the increased load of applications after casual fans witnessed this blowout. Talk about building the brand... 😂

Retarded artistically. Idiotic in other respects.

I’m fully aware they’re a mediocre fcs team. Again can we beat them? I’m not sure we can. Army will smoke us.
Haston looked good and we have a bye next week. I think we take out the frustration out on Merrimack. The EMU and New Mex losses bother me. Should've been wins.
Since those 2 close games that you always refer to, we are 0-3 and gave up 52ppg. I don’t know how anyone who has followed this team still thinks we will multiple games. They have been outplayed in every facet of the game. It’s an embarrassment, when’s the last time a team had 2 punt returns? I feel bad for the players, the athletic department and coaching staffs have been a disaster since the move.

Army will not smoke us as that blocking rule change has hurt their offense. I dont they we win the game but it will be competitive. We will beat Merrimack 31-7 or more..

He might not be too far off the mark on that one. ;)

It's great being a UMASS football fan. I was watching the Michigan game and the announcers were laughing about Penn State playing UMASS. Bamford must be smiling because he got a big check for the Athletic Dept. So what if UMASS football is a national joke. If Haston has any brains he will transfer out of UMESS ASAP.

One of my neighbors(class of 93) had a great analogy,

Most southern/midwest(SEC, B12) schools use football as the 'front porch' during the admissions process - as a tool to get more kids to apply. UMass uses football as the area way out in your backyard where you dump your leaves and grass clippings when cleaning your yard. :x :x :x

Bamford needs to go. His time has run out.

I never thought I would say this, but we need a new coaching staff, including Don. I was 100% in on Don when he was hired, but something isn't working and it's time for a change. The lack of intensity on the Ark. State game, the poor coaching decisions and a sadly disappointing set of assistant coaches have me baffled.

It's horrid to keep starting over, but we need to get it right on the next one or I may be on the "dump football" bus, and I never thought I would say that.

Brown looks like a broken, old man in the post-game media sessions and during the games. Losing sucks, but Brown is just over a season and a half into running the UMass program. How can the players and us, the fans have any faith in him turning around the program when he looks and sounds so broken at this early stage in his tenure. Carvel had a very rough first season but he still looked and sounded confident that he could turn the program around. Things are really bad for UMass football and I don't see it getting any better next season either. :( :( :(
