How much can he play before burning his redshirt?
If Phommachanh can't play it certainly looks like Haston should be the guy.
I loved his poise. He has swagger. He was very calm receiving the plays from the sideline. People around me thought he was taking too long to process. I don’t. I think he was confident.

Why were we playing man coverage with backups in? This loss is on the coaching staff.

Yes, but you also have to give the coaching staff credit for adjustments and a second half shut out. Don Brown own up to the game plan was a bust and adjusted.
Go UMass!!

That is the defense they practice and he believed they could do it? The front seven need to get more pressure. That will relieve the DBs. Maybe even some safety blitzes and put an LB on the TE would help.

DB is supposedly the Blitz Guru; maybe he isn’t blitzing because he knows the opponent is practicing for blitzes and will be ready 😁

Yes, the 2nd half adjustments were excellent. BUT you had already given up 28 and it was obvious, at least to the New Mexico QB, that he could throw at these guys with impunity. The adjustments need to happen on the fly. Roll a safety over to help, blitz the house, do something else...

I look forward to the game that we do not give up a 50 yard play and multiple 30 yard plays.
