Bru was destined to fail for two reasons. He was not equipped to handle what he was given; and he was going to be held to a bar few if any would have been able to reach anyways.

I have said many times, Bru would have been a great choice to replace the guy who replaced Cal. You/I can't blame him for taking the job, but it doesn't make it a good decision (on either party's part).

I’m someone who as a student went to more football games at UMass than any other sport combined. I’ve had season tickets to football since I graduated and have rarely missed a home game. I’m an on again-off again member of the gridiron club. I haven’t been to a basketball game in the Mullins Center in probably a decade at this point. I’ve never donated a cent to basketball.

My credentials being established, at this point and time I would much rather talk about Bruiser Flint or anyone related to UMass basketball than think about this game.

Also, retroactively extend Lappas and his staff just for the John Leonard connection.
