My best was probably 30 out 35 games...then I moved out of state.

I don’t make it to the way games, but I haven’t missed a home game since becoming a STH for the 1999 season. So, I guess I’, at about 230 or so.

Not sure if this qualifies, but I'd nominate my parents, who had season tickets from 1966/67 (I don't have stubs back that far so I can't verify, but I know we arrived in Amherst in 1965 when I was two and started going to games a year or two after that) until 2008. My dad passed away in June 2009, but prior to that the only home games they missed were the year they spent in Germany in 1987. There's a photo of a game at McGuirk from 2002 in the UMass Rising book, and you can see both of them there, as always. My mom is now 91 and she went to the Georgia Southern game with us this year.

I went to the vast majority of the games with them from about 1968/69 - 1989, when I left Amherst for grad school. We went to some away games, BC twice, UConn 3-4 times, Holy Cross 3-4 times, UNH once. At BC in November 1979 was the second coldest I've ever been, only topped by Pats-Dolphins on January 2,1994. But I digress. I only made it to games occasionally after 1993 when we moved to the Boston area, but my folks kept going.

So I'd say my dad was a superfan, for his day, and my mom was super understanding! :D

I have been to a few away games. BC twice, a few Northeastern games and Notre Dame a few years ago. Trying to convince the family this year is at least 8 games with one at BC and one at UConn. Wife’s birthday is the same day as BC. Don’t know if I’ll be able to pull that off.

I saw my first game as a UMass freshman way back in 1957 and approx. 90% of all home games since then, including 47 years as a season ticket holder. I believe it was 1957 that BU buried UMass 70-7. Coach Chuck Studley started turning things around in 1961. After UMass, I believe he went to UTEP and Missouri. I enjoyed going to the 1-AA championship game against App. St. in Chattanooga. To this day, the most talented UM player that I have seen was Greg Landry who went on to become All-Pro QB with the Detroit Lions.

I thought this about the guy in the cape who used to come to the hoop games.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Oh gosh, I drive from NJ for all the home games but I am definitely not as crazy as some of those people in that article.

Let's be honest - just living in Jersey is a commitment, never mind driving up to Amherst from there. :D

I'm not a superfan but I pretty much make every home game since the late 90s and before that I usually made every home game as a student in the mid-late 80s. IIve never thought about how many games I've seen but I still love attending them and really have enjoyed watching the team improve under Whipple even before the team started winning - you could see the improvement and the effort and that to me is fun...I realize that the more casual fan doesn't see things that way.
