Just saw this tweet from Eziwike. He is our highest rated recruit so I hope he signs tomorrow as indicated. Mike, do you have any further info on him?

Initial indications were that Ezewike wasn't going to sign early, but if he does that would obviously be great. The window is open until 11:59pm tonight, so more players could sign if they choose. It's possible but from what I understand UMass isn't expecting anyone to come in before the window closes.
Ezewike (and Justin Lewis) did sign today before the window closed. Those were late ones to be cleared by compliance and weren't being banked on by the staff, but they came though which is great. The kids have to make sure they stay on their Ps and Qs to maintain their academics, no Senioritis, and UMass will have an excellent foundation for this class with these 14. They have the ability to add at least 10 more players this cycle as well, so this ideally will be a notable class when it's all said and done.

In today's local paper App St signed 24 scholarship players in the early signing period including 3 OL that stand 6 - 3 or better.

^ A 6'3 OL is pretty much average these days!

Anyone have any idea on what % of players signed a LOI during the early signing period? It seems some teams used all their scholarships while others have many more to give. Also noticed that quite a few of the top 50 did not sign an LOI- any ideas why?

Waiting to see which players are going to the NFL, so they can see where the playing time will be.......although the above opinion is viable!

This is a link to the FB blog to a link to a write up on a kicker we have offered a scholarship. He has other offers so hopefully he will accept ours.

I'll be stunned if we land this kid.

^ Especially after last night... A top school in the country losing their kicker this year will offer him a scholarship.

Not as good as a walk on freshman this year, or a punter forced to cover all kicking.

His UConn profile page in case anyone is too lazy to use the Google machine to get info on him: http://www.uconnhuskies.com/sports/m-fo ... 12137.html

He was special teams as well as a defensive back.
