ESPN prediction FPI is weird to say the least. It has us favored to win three games, Hawaii-very comfortably, Maine-Very comfortably and Georgia Southern comfortably. We are favored more to beat Georgia Southern than Coastal Carolina is, yet we have a 40% chance to win @ coastal carolina? I think their formula gives a lot to home field advantage.

Been looking at Coastals site and found this June article.

http://thesportsquotient.com/ncaa-fb/20 ... fbs-season
Season Outlook
Key Games: Sept. 2 vs. UMass, Sept. 30 at ULM, and Oct. 21 at Appalachian State
Projected Record: 5-7
Coastal Carolina is far suited than most FCS programs to transition into the FBS this season. Moglia has a proven track record of turning teams around, and has done a great job with the Chanticleers thus far. With that being said, this squad is still going to go through its share of growing pains during its first season in the Sun Belt. The schedule sets up nicely early on for Moglia’s team, starting the season with UMass, UAB, Western Illinois, and Louisiana-Monroe, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see this team start out 4-0.

On Sunday night, game listed as a pick'em. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Chanticleers go off as a 1-3 point favorite at game time.

After the first 5-10 mins of adrenaline from CC, this will become a beat down. Umass 48 CC 17.

Anyone heading to the game? My wife suggested that we might try and go, about a 4 hour drive and stay overnight somewhere in the area. However there is a coastal storm going up the coast and rain is predicted for the area. Probably will wait until later in the week to see what the weather will be.

Double checked the weather for Conway SC again and it is calling for thunderstorms on Sat so I guess we will pass on that one. So we might just look into going to Tenn for the game there.

What's a better lock, this, your prediction of a win over Hawaii, or our future move to the Big 10?

I still think we are going to win some games this year, but it needs to start this weekend. They already let one get away from them. Button your shit up, Coach, and make this happen... there's clearly some good talent on the field, do not squander it.
