2017 Season
Re: 2017 Season
Feel better if Holines and Moses heal up for the second half of the season. Going 500 would help the team but it maybe a little bit too late for the average fan and perhaps Whipple. If we win 3, can be really optimistic about building something in 2018.

Go UMass!!
Re: 2017 Season
At this point, they should simply treat the second half as a new season. They have almost three weeks to rest, recuperate, and practice. They can try new things as they treat this bye like a minicamp. They need to forget about the 0-6 record and try to get a winning record the second half of the season (a lofty goal but admirable). They have accessible games in GSU, Maine, and FIU and they have challenges in App State, Mississippi State, and BYU. As one of the few fans left, I will fully support this approach.

^best approach to take. Rest a bit, come back and treat it like a 2nd season

Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades
Re: 2017 Season
After seeing that 4 of our 6 game opponents(Hawaii, ODU,CC & Temple) so far have their only FBS win against us, it is clear that the "progress" we've made this year is minimal at best. Georgia Southern (0-4), must be licking their chops for our game in 2 weeks to get their first win!

Any truth to the rumor that the TB Buccaneers Special Teams unit has been Auditing FG Kicking @ UM?

I think it’s extrememly important for the coaches and athletes to take these 2 weeks off as seriously as possible. And trust me, we’ll see right away on the football field if they took these 2 weeks “off” and have already given up.
Re: 2017 Season
AD should check to see if coach Taylor is available and if big Timmy riggins has any eligibility left, as well as Gerry Bertier, and big Julius.

One of the many metrics the administration is monitoring, according to one senior level administrator I spoke to, is the mood and cohesion in the locker room. According to this person, the guys are very much sticking together as a team and are behaving in a way that shows 100% belief in the coaching staff.

Re: 2017 Season
I would think that we will be favored by 7 - 14 points.
Re: 2017 Season
If you look at the football blog we are predicted to Lose all 6 games by scout.com and why wouldn't we given our penchant for "finding a way lose every game"! GSU has the triple option which always gives us trouble even we have 2 weeks to prepare plus we are a terrible tackling team. None of the 3 phases plays together for one game so sorry but I'm taking GSU!

Re: 2017 Season
And ESPN’s power rating system has us as 75% chance winners over GS and beating Maine with FIU as a toss up. Before yesterday, FIU was in the winning column. GS couldn’t stop any, I mean any, pass plays from NMST. NMST dropped at least three TDs. If we catch the ball, we run away with this even if our defense can’t stop them 75% of the time.tdmass wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2017 7:09 am If you look at the football blog we are predicted to Lose all 6 games by scout.com and why wouldn't we given our penchant for "finding a way lose every game"!
