There wasn't on the last one either. I don't understand that.

It's because they jumped offsides in the first FG and gave Florida a gift fourth-and-1. I don't agree with it, but I understand why.

I think we're also just slow in general getting our calls in on defense and getting set. That's something to watch. We're vulnerable when the offense hurries up. Not sure if it impacted our field goal defense.

UMass should be in no-huddle.

Got to be really proud of that effort. Florida won 10 games last year, ranked top 25 this year. It took a couple DB miscues to get them their only 2 touchdowns against us. Defense played bend-don't-break and never backed down, even though the pressure never quite got to their QB. We're just not ready to get enough done on offense to win an upset like this. BC is probably going to be similar to this, despite not being as good a team as Florida. We can probably defend them but we've got to be able to put some scores on the board to beat them. Got to find a way to complete some short passes.

Proud of our players, especially the defense! Heck of a way to stay in that game.

The O-Line needs to get much better, but that was a solid D-Line from Florida.

All in all I'm impressed with what I saw. I had no idea how they would play.

I think Ross should run more though. He needs to tuck it quicker and take off.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)

Really liked the physical play on D and the speed. That's a win in my book.

Proud of our kids. Lots to be excited about. Some frustrating things but that will happen against good teams that have a lot of depth. Comis is going to be an exciting player. I hope Whip lets him loose a bit more.

UMASS should be proud of their effort against #25 at the Swamp. If UMASS can get some offense it might be a very good year. Florida is just too fast. GO UMASS!

Not bad, not in my usual rage after a loss. D played tough. Team played disciplined not desperate. Still question some of the play calling. Comis way more mobile but run game was a joke. Overall they hung in longer than expected, they benefited from FL penalties and did not make many mistakes. On to BC!

Very proud of the team. Looked a lot better in shape and played tough on the D-line and Lb's. When UF's best player against UMass is the kicker, I think that shows a big improvement over the past games against top 25 teams. Liked the way Whip shortened the game and didn't try to hurry up like last year. O-line needs some work but they were playing UF of course. Not impressed with the game production by the SEC network.

Definitely can't complain about the effort. Everyone had Florida walking in there and blowing us out without breaking a sweat. I think the coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for getting this team ready to play this game and I'm optimistic about the rest of the season.

UMass really impressed me tonight. They really hung in there. They took advantage of many Florida mistakes. They had some big plays. It gives me hope that the season will be much better than the awful predictions.
