^ Both SNY and NESN had the Fordham game on Saturday.

Hey folks, it's not like there's much incentive for even the obscurest cable networks to pick up UMass football games right now. Start winning and maybe that will change.

SNY is UConn's home football station. They pick up all their games that aren't on ESPN networks.

NESN, as far as football goes, has ACC games. I know I mentioned they could pick up our games but it's unlikely with the ACC stuff they show (mainly due to BC).

CSNNE I think could be a real option to pick up the games, since they show CAA football a lot you'd think they'd pick up some FBS games from UMass. That'd be nice.

I'd like to know who we would contact at the U to push this up their agenda.. It makes too much sense for CSNNE to pick up UMass games. Which is why it will never happen.

After 3 years of having pretty difficult schedules our 2015 schedule is ranking in as one of the easiest in the country.

http://www.fbschedules.com/2015/03/2015 ... aa-method/

#126 out of 129.

This is the year we have to get as many wins as possible. We need all the bounces to go our way. No more close loses.

It's kinda surprising that even with a game against ND we're 3rd from the bottom in SOS. But you're right, we need wins more than anything.

We should be bowling this season IMO, no excuses.

If we don't, will you be calling for Whip's head? Everyone did when Molnar struggled in year 2. Personally, I think Whip is going to have them in the 7-8 win range this year, so believe me, I'm not rooting for bad things to happen. We have the offense, our defense is on the doorstep, and we have a schedule to not only make it to a bowl but also win the MAC.

Now it's time for the fans to show up. Prove morons like Dan Shaughnessy Max Page wrong. Do it now. Look at the schedule and plan your fall around getting to Gillette or Amherst. This team, program, department and University NEEDS you all.

I won't be calling for Whip's head, because even at 3-9 last season we could all see the improvements the team was making before our eyes. Molnar's teams never did that. The MAC won't be a cakewalk for UMass this season, but I personally see no reason why we can't win 7 games. We should beat FIU, Kent State, EMU, & Miami (OH), and we can beat any other team on the schedule save for ND.

Even if we don't get there, say he only wins 5 games, that's still marked improvement. I think this is the year to capitalize though given that we're going to have a big senior class and the real impact players are all in their last year of eligibility on both sides of the ball.

I'm going to make it to Homecoming at the very least and hopefully to ND too. The support this season should be even better than last. What they need truly going into independence is to make sure that they use McGuirk for 4 home games and Gillette for 1, and not the other way around. Having 4 of 5 games at Gillette as an independent will really hurt the program IMO.

You have to really hope we can do better than "just" 5 wins, because we've got a qb who should be at the top of his game right now. When Froh graduates, you really don't know what you've got at qb.

Here's a video to get you thinking about next season, AND the spring game.

I agree with that, I think we should be bowl-eligible this season, but I'm not going to lose faith if they aren't. I mean in my earlier posts I mentioned that we've got 4 games just this season that should be Ws, that's obv more wins than we had all of last season. After that, you only need 2 more Ws to get to a bowl, we should be able to do that without a problem.

If we have another Molnar-esque season, a 1-11 or 2-10 disaster, that's when you panic. I'm supremely confident however that that will not happen.

It's a real exciting time for this program to be looking at their first FBS bowl game; they should make it there.

The QB issue will be interesting to see. I mean for the first time in a long time you have no question who the leader is, but Whipple's kid can't be the backup without a lot of improvements. Given the number of QBs on the roster though, that competition should be very good, and some of these younger guys, like West and Comis, will be in a real battle to see who takes over for Froh after this season.
