I hope the wind is howlin' tonight. Can't possibly make our kicking game any worse and can only hurt their kicking game. I just hope the wind settles down when Froh wants to throw the ballMJatUM wrote:Vacation Shmacation.. I will be saving those days for when I need them. I can zombie my way through work tomorrow
Glad to see it should be dry tonight.. Low-40's to high-30's is a warm November night as far as I'm concerned. Only thing I haven't seen is what the wind is going to be like.. Hope it doesn't affect the kicking game too much

Re: Game 10: Ball State
Line is at -3. I have been waiting my entire life to bet on a Umass maction game.
Re: Game 10: Ball State
When was the last time UMASS FB was on an ESPN broadcast game in prime time? The last FCS playoff game? I don't recall you guys being on an actual MACtion broadcast the last two seasons, only on ESPN3, but I may be wrong.
Re: Game 10: Ball State
Caught a few minutes of the NIU/Toledo game and there appeared to be alot of empty seats on the home side. If Umass gets 11K, then it is/was a successSteve81 wrote:Guessing 11,367, hope it's much higher.njumass08 wrote:^
Don't trust that site. They don't show actual seats sold. I'm guessing 7,000.
I'm leaving NJ now. See you guys tonight. GO UMASS!!

"12,000 tickets out" per the AD today. It will be interesting to see how many appear.78 wrote:Any word on ticket sales for tomorrow night? I won't be there, but at least I have a ticket.

Re: Game 10: Ball State
There's really no reason to not go to this game if you already have a ticket for it (extenuating circumstances notwithstanding). If 39 degrees is too cold for you then by golly you're living in the wrong part of the country.Old Cage wrote:"12,000 tickets out" per the AD today. It will be interesting to see how many appear.

Re: Game 10: Ball State
Just back from the luncheon. The yellow lot was almost empty, shut down for the tailgating that can start there at 4 PM. However some students did not get the word to vacate the lot and 16 were having their cars towed. Bummer. The other lots on the way in were also closed down with tailgating starting there at 5 PM. Don't know why the difference in time. Coach was optimistic with everyone pretty much OK except the linebacker that has been injured. He could not express the importance of the game crowd wise for the national TV game. Did say that the game could be tough. Ball St. has been behind to other teams by over two TD's an have won comfortably.
Re: Game 10: Ball State
O/U 64.5???? This game might hit the over by half time.
Re: Game 10: Ball State
Amen to that. I'm just getting to the parking lot now.MJatUM wrote:There's really no reason to not go to this game if you already have a ticket for it (extenuating circumstances notwithstanding). Pretty sure it was the Montana (SF) and Appy State (championship) games in 2006. Both were Friday night games.NE Cat wrote:When was the last time UMASS FB was on an ESPN broadcast game in prime time? I wrote this ... it's gotta be true.
Re: Game 10: Ball State
Last time out the students said it was "too hot" . . . I guess this time (if it's 39 degrees or so) it will be too cold!
Re: Game 10: Ball State
A lot of students in the parking lot. We'll see if they go to the game.
