future scheduling talk
Re: future scheduling talk
Yes, indeed. Maybe we're not learning much about our future football schedules, but we're sure learning about Polish heroes of the Revolutionary War! If we're bowl eligible next year, is there a Kosciuszko Bowl we can go to?

Re: future scheduling talk
Continuing along the Polish history I have one last Polish Revolutionary Hero Casmier Pulaski to add:
Following a recommendation by Benjamin Franklin, Pulaski immigrated to North America to help in the cause of the American Revolutionary War. He distinguished himself throughout the revolution, most notably when he saved the life of George Washington. Pulaski became a general in the Continental Army, created the Pulaski Cavalry Legion and reformed the American cavalry as a whole. At the Battle of Savannah, while leading a daring charge against British forces, he was gravely wounded, and died shortly thereafter.

Re: future scheduling talk
Okay, maybe we should get this thread back on topic . . . unless we're going to schedule the University of Warsaw or something.
Re: future scheduling talk
I saw that akron announced games with us in 2019 and 2020. I suspect last game in 2019 will be vs Coastal Carolina with return in 2021.

New Mexico State and UMass schedule four-game, home-and-home football series.
- at UMass on Nov. 7, 2020 and Oct. 8, 2022.
- at NMSU on Nov. 27, 2021 and Sept. 30, 2023
Re: future scheduling talk
I'm surprised that it looks like we are set to play army, nmst, and liberty all at home in same year and on the road in the same year.
I also took a look at 2020 and the only g5s who have less than 2 road games scheduled are Temple, UCF, Rice, UAB, UTEP, and Ark St. I would like to see home and home with Temple 2020/2022.

Re: future scheduling talk
So just to update where we stand:
2020 now is "complete"
H: Troy (9/12); Albany (9/19); Temple (10/10); FIU (10/24); New Mexico State (11/7); Army (11/21)
A: UConn (9/3); App. State (9/26); Akron (10/3); Mississippi State (10/17); Auburn (11/14); Liberty (11/28)
Looks like a very good mix in terms of opponent strength, H/A date balance, with a nice bye week around Halloween
2021 and 2022 each have eight games (3 H, 5 A in '21; 4/4 split in '22)
2021
H: BC (9/11); UConn (10/2); Maine (11/13)
A: Colorado (9/3 or 4); Coastal Carolina (9/25); Liberty (11/6); Army (11/20); NM State (11/27)
Open: 9/18; 10/9; 10/16; 10/23; 10/30
2022
H: Eastern Michigan (9/10); NM State (10/8); Liberty (10/29); Army (11/12)
A: Tulane (9/3); BC (9/17); Temple (9/24); S. Florida (10/22)
Open: 10/1; 10/15; 11/5; 11/19; 11/26

Re: future scheduling talk
Now if we can schedule home games with Vermont and Northeastern for that year, we can have a "throwback" theme. That will get the "Hadley crowd" to McGuirk.Dickie Dunn wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 1:43 pm So just to update where we stand:

Yes, how could I forget BU? We lost to them in their final game.
