Interesting to see Jean back. Good for him.
Looking forward to the 2022 UMass Football Season (Oh boy, just jinxed that one)
Re: UMass-NFL news
According to Matty V, Jean has signed with the new Major League Football. They'll be starting play this spring.
Good for him. Hope it works out well.

First I've heard of the eight-team league. They will be toiling in obscurity, but toiling nonetheless and perhaps catch someone's eye. I've often wondered why NFL teams did not have a farm system. I imagine the cost would be enormous for each NFL team to own a franchise with very limited return. But I can see NFL teams owning "player rights" in this league and see if they can develop enough to get to the big leagues. I would actually play half the season in the spring, give players a chance to catch on at NFL camps, then resume the league for September and October, allowing players to get "the call" as the NFL needs a replacement.

Pro Day was covered well by Malone and Vautour, and the Collegian, but I've got a brief piece up over on Underdog Dynasty on it too. The coverage of UMass is moved over there officially, though there could be a couple things that end up on Hustle Belt before the draft...https://firethemusket.wordpress.com/201 ... g-dynasty/

IMHO, the CFL would be better for his prospects. But glad to see him following his dreams, and good luck!

You like the idea of it. If he shit's the bed, then you'll be screaming for his head like DK.Refuse2Lose83 wrote:^Brady's replacement?? I like it!
Save your breath... you'll need it to blow up your date

What do you guys think? Does Blake get drafted? I say no, but that he gets an invitation somewhere as an undrafted free agent.

I agree, I don't think he will get drafted. Considering the Brady situation, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets an invite to try out for the Pats as Jimmy's backup.... and if not, someone will take a chance on him outside of the draft for a workout.

Re: UMass-NFL news
I think Tajae is the only guy who ends up getting drafted but we have quite a few players who should be UDFA or get a try out
Offense: Froh, Tyrell Smith, Marken Michel (lots of speed and versatile can play the slot, take end arounds, line up in backfield) Rodney Mills? (might not have the size or speed to play TE in NFL)
Defense: Randall Jette, Jovan Santos-Knox, Trey Dudley-Giles?(versatile can play CB, S, KR), Kassan Messiah (reportedly, on twitter, had a great Pro Day)
