It is pretty messed up you can't hear the band from the home side during the game.

Great point about not hearing the band from the home side. Easy solution: Seat the band on the visitors side, and that actually solves two issues. Opens up more seats on the home side for those who are true fans and let's those fans actually hear the band. There's really no reason at all for the band to sit on the home side, and you'd think it would be easier to march onto the field for the halftime show coming from the visitors side.

This is actually a pretty good idea. I wonder what Mssrs Parks and Hannum would think of it? it may actually help get the home side fans more into the game, since we would look across and see/hear 400 people chanting "D-Fense" or whatever else they chant. Hmmmmm.
