Richmond previews

Post by MikeUMA » Fri Mar 05, 2004 11:33 am

Let's move on to the next game, down in Richmond. Senior day for them as 4 players, including Skrocki and Dobbins, are due to depart.

We've only played in the Robbins Center once before, falling 63-54 on 1/16/02.

Richmond is tied at 3rd right now in the A-10 West with Xavier, they could move into 2nd if GW loses their last game.

They showed a flash of greatness beating Kansas in Lawrence last month, but have a couple of noticable losses (at Manhattan by 8, at LaSalle by 11).

Globe says that the game will be on NESN at 4 pm. Can Rafters get NESN?
They may not be great, but they won't be boring!

You can probably find a bar closer to home that does, OBG.

I'm thinking OBG was thinking about going to the hockey game on Saturday night and thus would be in Amherst for the hoop game at 4 and thus would want to watch it at Rafter's before heading to the Mullins.

Looks like the Richmond fans aren't taking us too lightly. Obviously, they're uniformed.
Retarded artistically. Idiotic in other respects.

Most of the posts are like knocking on wood or trying to mouth the right words so as not to offend the basketball gods. But there is this: "lets be honest we should stomp UMass. but we cant let them hang around."

If the play like the did against Temple, they have a legitimate chance of winning.

Here's hoping they do!!

Right on 71! Some are throwing bad mojo toward the team in hopes of ensuring a pathetic season for the coach. F the coach. This team still has games to win and the majority of these kids will be back next season regardless of who spews spittle on the sideline.
This aggression will not stand, man

I think these kids are gonna finish out the year playing well. They've had a tough year, took their lumps, but in the long run it should make them better players. I hope they finish out on a good note, and work hard in the offseason, and comeback strong next year regardless of what happens with the staff. These are a good group of young guys we have to get us back to where we should be.
