I am not throwing in the towel but it is just getting harder and harder to be passionate. I was donating money to keep Matt Cross on my basketball team, not some transfer from Stony Brook or wherever. I can't imagine how people that give much more money than me, including those that run Mass Co, feel right now.
If those that run this, or any, Collective are letting this bother them, they shouldn't be doing it. This is the nature of the beast these days. You gotta have pretty thick skin to deal with this kinda stuff, I'd assume.

I am not sure if it is possible to donate as much time and money as they do to this shit and not be at least a little bothered. I hear your point, though.

+1
This is where college athletics has taken us. We have an excellent HC who has built as strong a staff as we have had in years to evaluate and develop the players they bring in. I will be interested to see who Frank’s call was from.

Huh? I'm sure Frank's tweet was related to a transfer in or a recruit. I highly doubt that after weeks of this, Cross told Frankie he was staying to then only an hour later enter the portal.

I hope it's a transfer. We have a very young team and I don't think we can afford any more freshmen. We need 2 or more proven players who can contribute right away. Have heard good things about Nate and I think he will help. Walker maybe, but I don't think Luka sees much court time. I also wouldn't be surprised if one or more of the guys at the end of the bench entered the portal.

Another tweet from Frank. After his last tweet we heard about Matt Cross. I hope this doesn't repeat itself. Seriously, if Frank has 2 key transfers coming in, I will feel a lot better about this day.

Why? With all due respect (And I mean that) why should anyone pump money into the fund? We have lost our two first team A10 players and our starting point guard. Was there a threshold we failed to meet to keep them or just a more general ‘donate to build’ appeal? Similarly, are Frank’s two “great calls” contingent on more contributions to the Collective? If so, who specifically is on hold and how much? Again, with respect, posting a link and asking for contributions with the vague promise that it is necessary doesn't really make a strong case.

New NCAA, money is needed. All teams have players leave. BC an ACC team that had one of its best seasons in recent memory had its starting lineup all enter the portal. Kids leave for money, prestige, relationships, etc. we don’t know if they left only for money.
