^ The LARGE part will be an interesting test following 6342 for Hockey last night.

yeah, I watched some of the hockey game last night from my couch and there was a really good crowd, and plenty of students. I wonder if the experience of being together at an exciting hockey game will encourage more to come to the basketball games. It's a perfect pregame for the super bowl.

Gets you espn plus.We have Hulu but also pay extra for espn plus🤨. Are there others who are frustrated with the enormity of what you have to know What you want on tv to watch Umass basketball? Do some universities just have one station that takes care of all the games for viewers? Am I asking too much?
for those that cannot watch live for whatever reason and could care less about the Super Bowl - looks like NESN+ has the replay at 6pm

I don't expect to get close to that total but less than 5k would be very disappointing - even in our worst seasons the fans always seem to come out for URI.

I fully expect UMass to pound them today! Looking back at the play by play of last game URI pretty much had a double digit lead throughout the game and pushed it to 20 for most of the 2nd half - with a healthy Matt Cross this time and Josh Cohen looking to bounce back from his worst game of his career - I think UMass will do to URI what URI did to us a few weeks ago

I was at the URI game. It wasn't pretty. URI could not miss from anywhere on the court that day! Valiant effort by our guys but shooting like that is hard beat.
And their coach is absolutely insufferable.
I swear he practically lifts himself off the court waving his arms so frantically!
I hope we get some revenge today!!
Go Umass.

Looks like RI is shutting us down on the inside, forcing us to shoot from the outside. We are missing from the outside, and turning the ball over when trying to get it inside. Hope we can figure this out.

You know I haven’t posted here in a long time. My interest in UMass basketball has definitely waned over the years due to mismanagement and a couple really bad coaches since our hey day.

I saw UM vs URI in today’s paper on the USA network. We are talking about a rivalry game on a pretty popular TV station. I look at the crowd and there can’t be more than a few hundred people there. Incredibly sad what it’s become. I can only imagine how much money this program loses on a yearly basis.

I guess here it is and what do you do? I honestly have no freaking idea. Maybe you give free lunch vouchers to get students there or something? You’re going to need to “pay” in a way to get the students there. Maybe that will spark some interest and fill the seats. No big recruit will want to play in front of this. Kinda like that movie Funny Farm where they pay the villagers because this movie sucks!
Get a brain! Morans.

Can’t win if you are trading 2 point baskets against 3 point baskets. By end of season we might have the lowest 3 point shot % in NCAA history!

Considering it is Super Bowl Sunday, this crowd isn't too bad.

Game kinda sucks, so far though...
