KAEO: Sawyer Mayhugh
Re: KAEO: Sawyer Mayhugh
Anyone ever think that maybe there's something else going on , maybe personally or family wise, that is in play? Hopefully not, but could be anything. Eventually I'm sure we'll hear something.

We're still not even sure if he left. He's still on the roster as of today.Juice Stand wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 6:36 am If Sawyer left because we added a guy that's a long term project...
Mullins Madness is in a week, so if he's not there then...
Re: KAEO: Sawyer Mayhugh
I went to the hockey game tonight (that's another sad story). A few of the BB players were there, including Majok. I was tempted to ask them if Mayhugh was still on the team but I'll admit I chickened out.
Re: KAEO: Sawyer Mayhugh
I would have thought Burnham would have asked about it on Martin’s podcast but nothing. Seems odd.

I don't see Sawyer in this picture posted by The Mass Collective: https://twitter.com/TheMassCo/status/17 ... bz0BA&s=19
Rashaun Freeman, however, is all the way to the left. Great to see him connecting with this new group of players!

Makes you wonder about the trip given what OFF said

UM Media Relations just issued this little statement:

He was on the roster earlier today, and has since been removed.Freshman Sawyer Mayhugh is not presently enrolled at the University of Massachusetts due to a private family matter. The men's basketball program asks that you respect the privacy of the Mayhugh family at this time.

Well that stinks. Both for him and the basketball program. But at least now we have an answer and don't have to know anything further as it's none of our business.

Here's wishing Sawyer and his family well! Hopefully whatever is happening is resolved in a positive way.

Hope everything turns out ok for him/his family.

I hope he is okay. Glad they are keeping a door open for him. Sounds like it was completely out of his control.
Wishing you the best, Sawyer. Stay strong. Sending my prayers.

Re: KAEO: Sawyer Mayhugh
I was out with a HS Coach yesterday who thought that Sawyer was one of the best players he had seen. Thought he had absolutely crazy potential. Hopefully he returns at some point but no idea.
Re: KAEO: Sawyer Mayhugh
Sawyer had landed, with Queens U in Charlotte. They're 2 years into their D1 transition, and play in the Atlantic Sun.
