Sean East is having a hell of a season in the SEC
But I just saw that Missouri is 0-17 in conference play
I am shocked to see that, wowza

Tre Mitchell (Kentucky) has started 23/25 games. Avg10.7ppg, 6.9rpg, 2.5apg and playing 30mpg but since 1/27, in 7 games he has really seen his productivity drop. I know he was hurt earlier in the season so maybe that popped back up. He has scored a total of 24 points in his last 7 games which includes two games with 0 points and two games with 2 points. In his two games vs #5 Tenn. he has yet to score a point. His MPG have gone down every game in that 7 game span bottoming out Saturday with 7 min played vs. Tenn. So it could be injury or performance based playing vs higher caliber SEC teams.

Yeah, he might be worn out or hurt.
Cal's been talking about going to one big and four guard lineups.

I watched the last couple UK games and his defense has been atrocious. Maybe he’s hurt or worn out but it’s been bad regardless.
Defining his career is interesting. He’s a big contributor to a ranked team but he’s really not that much more skilled than he was as a freshman. He’s dropped some weight and plays on the wing more now but he’s never really reached his potential.

Here are the final, regular season numbers on these former players:
Sean East - Missouri - 34 minutes, 17.9 points, 4.0 assists, 47% from 3
Tre Wood - George Mason - 7 minutes, buried deep on the bench
Noah - Rutgers - 20 minutes, 6.4 points, only 1.7 assists
Sy Chatman - Buffalo - 33 minutes, 18.2 points, 6.4 boards, 1.6 blocks
Preston Santos - SNHU (yes, they have a BB team) - missed a few games, 27 minutes, 12.9 points, 5.9 rebounds
Wildens Leveque - Texas A&M - 10 minutes, 1.6 points, 2.6 rebounds. (He would have been much more valuable here)
Javohn Garcia - McNeese State - 27 minutes, 11.1 points, 45% from 3
Ronnie DeGray - Wichita State - 21 minutes, 5.4 points, 3.3 rebounds
Dyondre Dominguez - Arkansas State - 27 minutes, 11.2 points, 6.4 rebounds
Cairo McCrory - stopped playing BB after leaving UMass. I think it was injury related.
Mitchell - KY - 31 minutes, 10.7 points, 6.9 rebounds
Luis - St. Johns - 21 minutes, 10.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, just 22% from 3
Gapare - GA Tech - 18 minutes, 5.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 17% from three
Weeks - Rider - 30 minutes, 10.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 35% from three. Tyriek hardly gets off the bench (10 games, 6 minutes).
Buggs - North Texas - 29 minutes, 7.6 points, 47% from 3

Kentucky has gone full 1990 Loyola Marymount the last 5 games averaging 100 a game.
DD has a chance to go to tourney. Arkansas State just hit a buzzer beater to advance to Atlantic Sun final.

haasn't this has been his career since leaving UMass? At Texas, WV and now UK, he does well in non-conference play when there is a mix bag of competition but when conference play starts and the competition is better he fades quickly when going against the better teams and players.kdogg8173 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 7:07 pm I watched the last couple UK games and his defense has been atrocious. Watching JG playing with McNeese. Nice drive & dish, but also got t'd up and a couple fouls limiting him. Looks really aggressive tho and they're cruising by 17 midway thru 2nd half

Samba makes ESPN's Friday "Not Top Ten" by kicking a baseline inbounds pass directly off the head of the ref who was right there. The ref was seeing stars.
"Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here."

not a former player, but recent and former coach Matt McCall is reportedly joining Chris Mack on Vanderbilt's staff.

Not a bad spot to resume his coaching career. Good for him.

Good for him. They had him cover a lot of UMass games this year and I was thinking the TV career was the right one for him but no surprise that he missed being on the court. Great situation for McCall!bobolink wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 6:42 pm not a former player, but recent and former coach Matt McCall is reportedly joining Chris Mack on Vanderbilt's staff.

That's great for Coach McCall. I was wondering if he'd get back in the game or was satisfied with TV, which he was very good at. Best of luck to him and the Commodores.
