The conference move is for a much larger purpose. I would have preferred what conference we went to to have been better than the MAC, but as we are seeing in this thread...
it has always been UMass holding UMass back.
Possibly the most spot on post you have ever made here.

Evidently, rumor has it the Holyoke Mayor feels badly that the UMass Men’s Basketball team has been kept out of any of the postseason dances…. Again! After all, just because they were no shows for the 2nd year in a row in the A10 tournament, they should be allowed to go dancing and have a shot at a trophy…. their fans and supporters certainly deserve as much! He’s trying to set up a winner take all vs the 413 Elite

This would have been helpful information before Cohen entered the portal!

17 schools declined NIT bids, including St Bona. I think we had to be next in line right behind St Joe, Xavier, and North Texas/

For lack of a better place to put this I am putting it here for all to see.
Our local paper the Mooresville Tribune, prints only on Wed and Sun and is free, prints 6 pictures of interest.Today UMass makes it into a picture. It shows a North Carolina player charging into John Murphy at Madison Square Garden on March 20, 1973. I am pretty sure I was at that game.
In case anyone is interested their site is mooresvilletribune.com

Need to have a subscription to view the print edition online. Couldn't find the "pictures of interest" on their regular website.
