Tough break for him. Considering all the transfers into the program there, you'd think he'd need to really make a name for himself early on to not get lost in the mix... this doesn't help that cause.

Rick Pitino & co brought in a lot of talent after his decision to transfer to the Johnnies as well - wouldn't be surprised if he falls out of the rotation.

Here's today's box score in a 68-62 loss to Seton Hall. The condensed version is that he started, played 24 minutes and had 6 points (2/9 from the field), 4 boards and 4 turnovers.

I know huh? Wonder if he'll be in the portal again. Wouldn't surprise me if they all left

Pitino trashed the whole team after the loss. Specifically mentioned players (although not Luis), said he recruited the wrong players. Called facilities crappy, Specific players soft etc

Makes you wonder if he just wants out of St. John's. Can't imagine the fans, players, or school liked that rant.

His two previous games were pretty good but he’s been ver inconsistent. I watched the UConn/St. John’s game a couple weeks ago and they showed pitino laying into RJ during a timeout about his defense.

I very much dislike Pitino. Although a great coach a terrible human being.
In addition I was at, in my mind, one of the best UMass game. January 1974 (I still have the ticket stub $2). We were undefeated and Providence nationally ranked - coming off their final four season in 72-73. We were up 1 with about 10 seconds left. Pitino on the line 1 and 1 (no 3 point shot then). He missed the front end and then his man , Kevin Stacom, came down and hit the winning shot. I’m sure there are others on this site that were there that night at Springfield Center.

I was there. Pitino went to the foul line with the deer-in-the-headlights look. When Stacom got the rebound, his eye was on the basket all the way up the floor as if he knew he was going to hit the winning shot. What a difference.
