He is absolutely an engaging young man and if his 3-point shooting is as good as we have heard, he may end up starting at the 2 at some point. I think he's smart enough to realize that once BB season starts, he has to be 100% focused on that and save the other things for the off season.

I tend to be pretty optimistic, but with Davis, I'm very much in the "show me" camp. He's professed his love for UMass over and over without playing a game. We'll see if any of that changes after the season when transfer portal recruiters and NIL hawks start calling him.

I'm also a little skeptical of guys that talk a lot and pump their own tires. Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for him and definitely appreciate his enthusiasm so far, but I need to see it in action from him first.
