Per John Rothstein, we're opening up against Colorado in the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

Wow! Thanks for posting...

Looks like they packed the marquee names into those first two games. My sense is we will have a more challenging path than Loyola in this tournament. It also means we have a lot to gain from a good performance.

I believe the season starts on the 7th, so I'd like to see us get hopefully two games in before the tournament.

https://espnevents.com/myrtle-beach-invitational/

Games are at Coastal Carolina's arena in nearby Conway.

November 17, 18, 20 (Thurs, Fri, Sun), the week before Thanksgiving.

One team to add to a field of
Boise State - we've never faced before, but we'll see our former broadcaster Bob Behler there.
Charlotte - haven't played 'em since 2013 when they were still in the A-10.
Colorado - haven't played 'em since 1997
Loyola Chicago - haven't played before, but they'll be in the A-10 next season
Texas A&M - haven't played before
Tulsa - only played once, in the 1995 Sweet Sixteen
Totally missed this, but that's a solid group of teams. Not sure if they'll make sure Umass and Loyola don't play each other until their 3rd game respectfully if the chips fall where they may, since they will be in the same conference. Wouldn't be surprised to see us play Boise or Colorado in the 1st game.
Not tooting my own horn, just showing that it seemed fairly obvious on both accounts. Guaranteeing we play either A&M or Murray State in the 2nd game means we are going to have a pretty tough go of it to start the tournament. I like it though.

So we now have official..

Colorado in Myrtle Beach 11/17
Texas A&M/Murray State in Myrtle Beach 11/18
Tulsa/Charlotte/Boise State/Loyola in Myrtle Beach 11/20
Hofstra in Brooklyn 12/11
North Texas in Springfield 12/17
Dartmouth at Home 12/21
Penn State Away TBD

Solid schedule, although not too many home games yet. So there should be 6 more to come? 18 Conference +7 announced non-con gets us to 25.

^ I was old that they expect to have 15 home games. So that's 9 conference games and 6 out of conference.

Great so 5 more home games to be scheduled. I can't imagine it'll be against the cream of the crop though, but that's fine, they'll need some to get their feet wet.

Does Myrtle Beach count as one game or three?

Good question. I think it counts as a MTE, only one game.

If that's true then there are 8 more possible OOC games to be scheduled.

Plus up to 2 exhibitions.

Get AIC and stay away from D3 this year, I hope. Need to be ready when we play Colorado.

I don't remember the last time we actually did two exhibition games. Closed scrimmages seem to be favored and are likely more productive. But I prefer actually being able to watch the exhibition.
