I think if we lose a close battle or (obviously) win, UMass will officially be "the team no one wants to play" in the A10 Tournament. We may already be that in the minds of some other A10 teams, but I think either of these results would solidify that.
Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades

The stupid Richmond fans that have the "Fire Mooney" site are really delusional! Mooney is a very good coach and they should be thankful instead of bashing him . . he's like Schmidt at SBU finds some hidden gems and makes them better players than they really were/are . . complete jerks!

From the Richmond "Game Notes":
In two career games vs Massachusetts, Grant Golden has totaled 47 points, 20 rebounds, and nine assists
while shooting 64 percent from the field (21-33).

I wouldn't go so far as to call them delusional, or to compare Mooney to Schmidt (Schmidt is much better). The fans wanted a change, Mooney hasn't really led Richmond to too much success recently, especially in terms of NCAAT appearances. He makes a bunch of money and has a pretty good situation. I'm not sure they can do too much better than Mooney, but I can certainly understand their desire to take a shot at something better.

Mitchell and Pierre are playing awfully well for this to be the spread!

And Carl has not done well on the road. Santos and/or Walker need to get hot, and East needs to be steady.

Looking for Samba to get back on his double double roll he was on. Takes a lot of pressure off Tre.
How sweet would it be for just about everyone to be "on" today. Not sure how many games thats happened this season. Might be time

I'll be shocked - pleasantly - if we give ourselves a chance to win this game. Specifically, I'm not sure the freshmen will be prepared to defend their offense. Pierre's not a good defender either. Plus, their point guard is going to put a lot of pressure on our freshmen point guards.

We'd have to get hot AND apply consistent, high pressure, with quick rotations on D for 40 minutes to have a shot. They're a top 40 team playing very well. It won't be impossible, but I'm not holding my breath on this one. I'll take any positive signs of progress today.

Would be nice to knock Richmond off the bubble too. Feel like every time we played down there when we were in bubble we lost. We owe these guys.

If we can hang with #6 Dayton, we can compete with Richmond. #WhyNotUs
