Kind of sucks that the biggest crowd of the year (unless we have a good stretch before the URI game) is going to be for an almost sure loss. Hopefully they prove me wrong and give Dayton a good game.
The Rhody game could draw. Regular season finale, Saturday night, long time rivalry, we played 'em tough at their place. Might draw a bunch of Rhody fans though.

^ A good crowd of visiting students livens the place up. Hope our students attend ...attention Militia....and drown out their cheer of URI-URI-URI with URIne, loudly and often.

We loved going to visiting arenas to get the locals all riled up! 8)

^ Also worth noting that 3/7 is a week before Spring Break starts, so students will still be around.

Dayton is a freaking freight train right now. Hoping for a respectable effort at home, probably going to be 15+ point dogs.
Thinking about the line, I looked at their previous spreads. I forget if I noticed when we first played them, but noticed now that they didn't play any true away games in their non-conf slate. They had 3 in Maui and a couple of other neutral contests, but nothing in an opponent's gym until A10 play started.

In their A10 road games, they're 2-3 against the spread. (Average spread -9.6)
La Salle, -10.5, won by 26, covered
Saint Joe, -16.5, won by 13, didn't cover
SLU, -6.5, won by 2 in OT, didn't cover
Richmond, -6.5, won by 8, covered
Duq, -8, won by 4, didn't cover

Looking at those, I'm gonna guess we'll be +14.

Just remember, if we win this game, it’ll easily be a top 3 biggest upset in UMass basketball history.

^ Well, top 5 maybe. Oklahoma in '92 put us on the big-time map, followed by North Carolina and Arkansas. I could make a case for UConn the season after they won the NC (the only time the Mullins court was ever stormed) but that turned out to be a total fluke. Beating Dayton certainly would be one of the biggest upsets ever at the Mullins, and maybe THE biggest. It's the highest ranked team to visit the Bill in 16 years.

Outside of the UConn win, UMass was very good in all those other wins. Beating the #6 team in the country where they are rated right now would probably be the biggest differential.

I stormed the court at the Mullins a few times after A10 titles.

I stand corrected. But to the best of my recollection, none of those were like the massive storming after the UConn upset.

1993-1995 three years. Then 1996 they moved championship to neutral site. Court was stormed after each one. 1993 probably the most raucous, because it was first time beating Temple for championship, and Mullins was brand new.

UMass win at home against then #15 Kansas has to be on the list.

UMass is 2-3 vs Kansas. Here are the two wins:

1/16/1999: 64-60 vs #15 Kansas. UMass finished 14-16.
