Happy for the win and winning ugly is something all teams need to learn how to do. Thought Samba played really well out there and I know Tre struggled shooting but goddamn he was active out there. Anyone who watches that game and doesn’t think we need an upgrade at guard though is crazy.

But hey that’s 5-3 over the last 8. That’s progress.

Weeks would be a major difference. Also really need East to look like he did early in season.

Would love to see them jump a couple spots in the standings, which will be really tough based on schedule but not impossible.
East looked best against weaker competition. He'd be league all star in America East (no pun intended). He's still young. His body has filled out a lot since last year, looks stronger. His development is critical to our success - if he stays. I do think we are hunting for another point guard and I doubt KC returns.

With Weeks, this is a whole different team. We need that extra scoring threat for when Carl is slumping. I hope Carl stays, he's a leader.

Will take that win, especially for the first conference road win and first win over Fordham in way too long. The team’s now in very good shape to stay out of the Wednesday games. Not a pretty game from Tre, but he battled on the boards and scored when he needed to. A grown man game.

Really pleased with the win. It's been a long time since a UMass team has progressed and improved through a season. I'm as optimistic about the program as I've been in a while. That said, I hope Garcia's an immediate high impact freshman guard. Or, that we land Odukale.

The problem with East is hes too careless with the ball and his D isn't great.. but I have to remind myself hes a Freshman. Weeks will help a lot but so will Garcia and hopefully Femi. I think Garcia is ready.. plays with and against high major talent and from unbiased sources is an elite defender and has a better shot than most think... hes 6'4 and can finish above the rim

Samba played great. His steal and dunk was the key play. I liked having Clergeot out there. He brings an edge to the team that is important, particularly in a grind it out game. Looked like Santos might have twisted an ankle or had a minor injury. I don’t think he played the entire second half and he was hobbling around during time outs.

Players really support each other and the staff looked liked they were working well together.

At this point I don't care how ugly they win on the road. I'll take it.

They lost last week VS Dayton in a game they played pretty good... they won today in a game that was ugly... take the ugly wins all day over pretty losses.

I think I read Garcia is not getting big minutes this year because there are two really outstanding people ahead of him, at Brewster there is serious talent.

I have a feeling we will bring in five recruits, the two who signed and I am pulling for Venning, Walker and Femi. Build around Trey.

At this point it seems pretty clear that whoever was putting those rumors out there was full of shit. TB and the Toppins definitely seem to have bad blood, and someone from the Toppin side is trying to slander TB’s name. He’s a fiery guy so I’m sure him and MM have had some moments, but the team chemistry speaks for itself IMO. Based on offseason’s accounts, TB and MM need each other to succeed to get what they both ultimately desire. Maybe it’s strictly a professional relationship, but it seems to be working so far (at least compared to what we had before).

Did Preston get hurt? I don’t get ESPN plus so couldn’t see but thought he would get more than six minutes if he was healthy.

Tre is a legit cornerstone
