It hurt the team when he was forced to leave the program but I'm glad he got his degree and seems to be in a good place now; perhaps some day he'll be able to put his degree to a more direct use. (I trust he meant bonding, not bondage :).
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

My all time "mister clutch" favorite. Was so happy to cheer for him at the Mullins some years ago when he returned.

I remember Cal saying in recent years that of all the players he's coached, the one he would want with the ball with the game on the line is Mike Williams.

That’s pretty awesome and amazing considering the talent he’s coached at Memphis and Kentucky. Michael was so damn clutch, had ice water in his veins.

Great to hear Mike doing so well. I still have an image burned in my mind of Williams rising up for a leaning jumper against Temple to bury them in 1994. He was the absolute man.

Wish he had a chance to play in the NCAA games his senior year. Would have helped tremendously!

I don't know. If we had won the championship, vacating it would have been all the more painful.

I always felt that the 1994-1995 team was our best ever and with Williams and a healthy Padilla, I think they may have cut down the nets or at least beat Ok state and Big Country.
