FAB FRESHMEN — UMass has relied heavily on its freshmen. Mitchell, Carl Pierre, Sean East II and Samba Diallo have combined to account for 66 percent of the team’s scoring this year and 83 percent of all Minutemen points over the team’s last five games.

Wait, what? Is he saying that Pierre and Diallo are part of the freshmen group? Also, Diallo is at 6.5 PPG (97 total), which puts him at 5th on the team, and way below Mitchell, East, Pierre, and even Weeks who hasn't played in over a month. If you're putting Diallo in that group, you should also put Keon, who has 1 less point on the season than Diallo. This reads like an excerpt he yanked out of an AP preview and inserted in his own without actually reading it.

It's poorly worded but he used a period after the word "freshmen" which ends that thought. He knows who the freshmen and upperclassmen are.

One of the few places I’ve seen UMass play. It’s a tough environment, and Dayton is already covering the spread.

I hope UMass can achieve that level of consistency again.

Welp this is a slap in the face so far and shows you how far we still have to go. Dayton is a really good, veteran team but we are making them look like Tark’s UNLV team out there.

Jeesh. No one can create any offense, turning it over and the defense is a mess. We are just a young, overmatched team and we aren’t playing very well. Would be a win to lose by less than 30 at this point.
