Game 9, 2019-20: South Carolina (12/4)
Game 9, 2019-20: South Carolina (12/4)
South Carolina is home today against a mediocre GW team. They are 4-3 and their 4 wins have been against cupcakes. I'm not sure they have defeated anyone as good as Northeastern or Rider and they lost to BU. However, they are an SEC team and will probably be favored against us even in Amherst.
i won't say it's a must win, but it's darn close. I don't want to see a 6 game losing streak after 5 wins and that's a possibility. Also, the team needs a boost in self-confidence after the last 2 showings. Second, we need to give the fan base something to get them excited and keep them coming back.
I have 2 positives from the Rutgers game. Sy looked a lot better and that will help us going forward. TJ is a stud. Ty should be proud, his son is not afraid of the big stage and he plays hard every minute he is out there.
I hope everyone can get to the Bill on Wednesday. The team needs our support.

^ Yes, all of the above.
Frank Martin's teams play hard. I'm mostly looking for us to play tough and be strong with the ball. Also curious to see how the press looks against another P5 opponent and whether we can make quick, solid decisions and get the ball moving on offense. Looking forward to hitting the game Wednesday.

Re: Game 9, 2019-20: South Carolina (12/4)
Sucks about Rutgers but now we are back home. I really hope we can 4000 in the but hopefully at least 3,000.
Chapman except for that 3pt shot looked good. I do think Weeks should come off the bench though and hopefully McCall can adjust the press and know when to go to a zone. It did bother me that Rutgers can't shoot so go into a zone to force them to make jumpers... nope let's press and give them dunks and alley oops.
But I think some home cooking is just what we need. Let's finish this OOC strong! Go UMass!!

Re: Game 9, 2019-20: South Carolina (12/4)
Need some help y'all. Not going be able to make this game but I want to flex or exchange my tix (not sure the correct term) to another game. How do I do this and is there a fee? I thought I was going in the right direction under manage my account online then exchange but it was saying 10 dollars per ticket. If that's the case I might as well buy new tickets. Let me know if I'm doing something wrong!
Hire Matt McCall!
Re: Game 9, 2019-20: South Carolina (12/4)
^ It's easy. Just call the ticket office (at least 24 hours prior to the game) and tell them you want to FLEX your tickets. Pick a game far in the future. The reason for that is that you can re-FLEX those tickets back to an earlier game if you want to. There is no fee or charge of any kind. You can pick up the new tickets at will-call or they might do it electronically. I have always picked mine up.

One correction... if you flex your tickets to a different game into seats that cost more than yours, then you'll get charged the difference in the seat value.

They can email them to you as well. Flexed for the CCSU game and I just printed out the flexed ticket and brought my physical ticket. Also, with calling you can pick the seat you want whereas on the website I have always just been assigned a random seat somewhere else in the building. Assuming you will want to flex the seat to near your seat, you will not be charged. As IV said if you go from a less expensive section to a more expensive section you will be up-charged to make up the difference.69MG wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:13 pm ^ It's easy. Advantage us: this will be SC's first true road game of the season.

UM's notes get it wrong that we've only played SC once before. They forgot about the 1992 game in Springfield.

Edit: they've since fixed it.

There are 2 familiar names on South Carolina. Jair Bolden, who played against us while at GW and Wildens Leveque who is from Brockton and was recruited by us. By the way, South Carolina has started 2 guys at 6'11 for the last 4 games.

South Carolina notes are definitely worth a look.

Re: Game 9, 2019-20: South Carolina (12/4)
another interesting preview from their side. One big question for them is the return of Keyshawn Bryant, who has been out with a knee injury, but is expected to be back. Perhaps rusty for his first game back (hope so).
