Game 1, 2019-20: UMass-Lowell (11/5)
Season opener coming up, let's get this going.
Lowell was picked smack in the middle of the America East, 5th out of 9.

The AE picks one team for their pre-season, and UML's senior guard Christian Lutete made it. He was their star last year against us, with 17 and 11.

Honestly who knows.. could win by 15 or lose by 5.. I think if we play with the intensity that it seems like this team brings we may wear them down and pull away late.. again.. no idea

Men/women DH. Women play Merrimack at 4:30.

We should win, but we'll have to play better than we did against WNEU. We need to cut down the number of turnovers and fouls and we need to do a much better job at the free throw line.
Last year we won 83-75. Lowell had 4 guys in double figures and they are all back.
Lutete, 6'5, as Mike said, had 17 points, 11 rebounds.
Gantz, a rugged 6'7, had 16 & 6
Glynn, also 6'7, had 18
Noel 6'4 had 12

It's gonna be a tough game. I'm assuming we have more "talent" on our team, but we're not put together yet.

Darn, to bad football is still going. Randall West takes the rugged out of those 6'7 guys.

I don't think the rugged 6'7 guy is the problem, but rather multiple 6'5 guys who can shoot 3s well. Djery, Sy and Tre should be OK (although it would be great to have 1 more up front). This game likely goes to whoever shoots 3s and/or defends them best.

Game on NESN or ESPN +

How about Samba for your fourth guy up front. If we're worried about their rugged 6'7" guy, I have no doubt Samba could handle him. And if it comes down to defending 3's, I think we're in good shape. I thought the half-court D was good on Tuesday.

Six different networks are televising games and I get none since I don't use cable. I guess I'll pay per game online cause I can't afford 6 different season passes.

ESPN+ by the month not to bad.

I agree len. This is a good matchup game for Samba. Be a nice start to a big season for him
