Game ½, 2019-20: Western New England U (10/29)

Post by MikeUMA » Thu Oct 17, 2019 9:14 pm

Exhibition game coming up in less than two weeks. Who's gonna go get the first look at the team?

Trivia tangent: Did you know WNEU used to be known as the Springfield Division of Northeastern University?

^ Tuesday, 10/29 @7:00. It's open to the public and I think there is no charge to attend.

Does that mean we can expect to see a lot of foul shots? :(

10 minutes from my house, guess I'll make that long drive.

The game is in Amherst. Make that 50 minutes.

GAME 0: WNEU

Post by LS71 » Mon Oct 28, 2019 7:47 am

Tuesday at 7 pm-no tickets required.

Last year’s exhibition was a harbinger of the troubled season that lay ahead.

Here’s hoping that this year gets off to a much better start vs. WNEU!

Favorite exhibition game memory: Micah Brand goes 10-10 from the free throw line!

Will the posters and other chachkees be ready?

They played a half-assed game against a team they should have handled easily. I take it you didn't go.

That was followed up by a very lackluster performance against Lowell. We won 83-75 against a team that finished 15-17. We were only up 3 at the half.

I'm pretty sure I went but a half-assessed performance at the exhibition wouldn't have been a big surprise. Seen a lot of those. I remember two years in a row where Javorn Farrell personally had to save us from losing. BTW Looks like JYD is doing pretty well for himself at the moment:

It’s been a long tumultuous off season.

I’m looking forward to seeing this team.

Who else is planning to be there?
