Santos is a very scrappy, team player - brings heart to the court and makes things easier for his team on the court. The type of player you want to have on your side.

sloppy, scrappy, but ill take it. good learning experience for this young team.

tre's inside game stood out, but what really stood out for me was East.

11 points 6 assists 0 turnovers in game 1
14 points 7 assists, 2 turnovers in game 2

we got ourselves a floor general, folks.

Not pretty but they never gave up.. gotta like it. Sean East is just solid. Such a difference when hes not in. I fully expect us to get smoked on Tuesday with the amount of easy looks we give up.

I'll take it, a win is a win. Gotta make free throws and rebound a little better, but they kept scrapping and got the W. Remember, all this without Sy Chapman too. This team will get better and better, and picking up W's along the way is huge

Love what Tre and Samba brought to the table in the 2nd half.

Getting Sy back will be great. I like how hard Samba plays but hes a bit out of control. Tre and Sy will make a nice combo.

This team has a lot of potential. The way East, Mitchell, Diallo, and Weeks all played today in their first road game is extremely encouraging.

The half court offense seems to have a very long way to go. The group doesn't seem to have a clear plan of attack offensively when they're not able to get out on the break. It's easy to say its make or miss when they're not hitting shots but a lot of times that seems to be more of a product of not generating quality looks.

It's not surprising given the youth on the squad. Let's hope they improve individually and collectively game after game- there is some talent here.

The game was not on 105.5. They had football instead. Missed listening to the post-game.

Nice comeback. Funny, it took Fairfield forever to scrap back and take their lead and then UMass rallied back in about 3 minutes. Having another shooter like Weeks will do that when Pierre isn't shooting well. They have some spurtability as Clark Kellogg would say -- especially if the defense leads to offense. And they hit some big free throws when they needed to.

East and Mitchell are our two best offensive players I think. East is crafty as hell and got his shooters some good looks while also getting his own offense. Mitchell needs to get a bit stronger but he's got a real complete package offensively -- except for the free throw shooting which is odd given his three point shot. He's going to be really, really good. Weeks threes were obviously huge but he struggled with some bad shots off the dribble, but he is fearless out there. Samba had his best moments when it mattered.

Pierre struggled. Clergeot was non-existent. Baptiste is what is what he is. The fact that they rallied back and got the win with their three upperclassmen not doing much of anything hopefully bodes well. Fairfield isn't a very good team but they played tough.

I do really hope Sy gets back soon. We really could use him.

I thought whoever the color guy was excellent (outside of calling Pierre quick) -- he was really smart and even corrected himself at one point, something you rarely hear someone do.

Weeks is the key to this team! When he got hot in the 2nd half that changed the whole game...I am shocked at how under recruited he was.

Sean East was the best player on the court today...I think we have our point guard for the next 4 years.

Considerating the better talent we had on the court at any time we certainly made this a difficult win.

I really liked the announcers. They were knowledgeable about basketball and showed a lots of interest in how the game was being played. It wasn't all about Fairfield for them.

East was great, so under control, steady, consistent and efficient. He had the best game of anyone today. Tre was the best player, and showed it most of the time, but took a couple bad shots and missed too many free throws. I thought coach substituted poorly in the first half. Clergeot had a nice steal and dunk, but didn't do much otherwise. I like Santos and Weeks, particularly their energy, although neither will have impressive lines in today's box score. I don't get what's up with Carl Pierre. Like in the Lowell game, he hit an important clutch 3, but today that was it for him. Several negative plays from him, fouling and missing the front end of a 1-and-1.

Before the season, we wondered how everyone could get their minutes and now with Sy and Kolton gone, look short handed.
