Neither White or Harrington (or most of the Hoyas) had a good game that day. If TJ can bring his dad's talent, energy and drive to UMass, this will be me: :D  :D  :D

The Hoya heroes had bad games because of the intense defense from our side. Jahidi White had been pushing people around all season and all tournament till Ty along.

I was lucky enough to be at that game. Carmelo Travesio held Victor Page to zero points. UMass dominated Georgetown.

^ You also get to see a little bit of Santos (#4) and Mitchell (#33).

You can watch a whole bunch of entire Woodstock games on their Facebook page. Make sure you're watching the Gold team, as Woodstock has more than 1 team.

Tre Mitchell is #33, Weeks is #30, Santos is #4.

^ Thanks for finding that. I watched the game against Hoosac. Mitchell had an off game and Santos was so-so. Weeks was as good as anyone on the court. His motor goes 100% every second he is in there. Nice looking stroke and he plays hard on D. Fernandes is as advertised. I wish he could be convinced to decommit from Wichita State but it's not likely. Looking to the future, Matt Cross looks like a nice player.

One week of play in the books, and TJ has been named the A10's Rookie of the Week

I cannot believe that no school recruited this kid in high school - you know he's super hungry to show what he's got, and he's been very impressive. I think everyone can agree about that.

I can go with TJ as rookie of the week, but barely edging out Sean East and Tre. I predict we'll see those 2 winning a week before too long, although maybe not as they seem to emphasize scoring so Tre's rebounding and Sean's assists may get undervalued.

This tweet from Amin Touri (Daily Collegian) about the last game really impressed:
"With UMass trailing by nine early in the second half, Sean East scored or assisted on seven straight UMass buckets. East ran the offense, dragged the team's two best shooters back into the game and helped lead the Minutemen to a win on the road."

Three games into his career TJ is edging out his dad in career free throws made per game. This is going to be fun.

That is a significant statement. We’ve had too many score first point guards that when things go bad they start playing hero ball. East recognizing he’s got two premier shooters and a unicorn big man that need to be involved is huge.
