Harvard odds seem too low. Only a 6% better odds of beating Harvard than Virginia? I'd put the Harvard game at worst in the 30-40% range.

It's now 9% better for against Harvard. I anticipate that if we keep this level of play up for the next few games that you'll see those numbers get to where you're thinking now. Beat Rider and South Carolina, play Virginia close (pull a Vermont there)...something with Rutgers that I can't quite figure out about them yet.

All that happens and our odds against Harvard will look much better. The issue is that we've had a pretty bad SOS so far so it's hard for the formula to know exactly what to do with the team so far.

After watching us get pounded on the boards by a very good rebounding team in Rider, not having Sy is making things harder than they should be. They had 17 second chance points and we had 5. I'm hoping his family issue gets resolved, both for Sy and for us.

How good might we be if we get Sy back, Dibaji gets his waiver and Kolton comes back? Right now, I'll settle for 2 out of 3.

Rider's big guys had their way with us. It's scary to think what power 5 level big guys will do

Its great!! Would love to have Sy and Dibaji right now.. that would allow us to play a little bigger since we are hurting at guard right now. It would be interesting to see Tre play the 4 a bit. He has a ton of talent but he is outside a bit too much wich exposes us down low... let's see what happens going forward

We are.. but to be fair we are missing 2 bigs.. so right now we are essentially only playing with one on the floor at any time

This season has been very interesting so far, to say the least.

I don't think they've played a game in which they were hitting on all cylinders, yet they're 5-0.

Tre was projected to be the A-10 Rookie of the year. UMass has had two consecutive rookies of the week...neither of whom have been Tre.

The best is yet to come for these guys.

Tre has had his challenges adjusting to this level of play. I think it's pretty common for freshman bigs to get in foul trouble, and that's what happened to him last night. Took the wind out of his sails, but McCall left him in for the end of the game and he did a good job not fouling. I think that was a super choice from McCall in terms of player development. There was enough of a lead for him to risk it. Does anyone remember how many over the back calls Lasme got his freshman year? I mean, whose counting? But it was probably two every game.

I'm reserving judgment regarding Matt McCall till the OOC is over. I think we'll know a lot by then. But he did say something on the radio (or maybe it was on the podcast) that I respected. When asked after one of the games if he missed Kolton Mitchell on the court, he responded without skipping a beat, "I miss him every day."

Who do we have next year to relief Mitchell when Baptiste is gone?? So Chatman is going back to the 5?? He's not a 5! Great... now I'm already pissed about next year. I guess we'll just run four guards out there. Might work in the A10 but our OOC might suffer...

I used to joke about the 5 guard offense, but after seeing it and the end of the CCSU game, who knows?
