I agree Juice, and I think Kolton and Sean East have enough talent to give Keon help at PG, or either play alongside him. I like the freshman pg talent coming in, lets hope they can develop quickly and jump in the mix. I like the guard and wing depth, a little concerned with the frontcourt depth as we haven't heard anything about KTM, and I see Samba more as a wing/stretch 4 than strictly an inside player. Frontcourt foul trouble for Sy or Tre and we're a little thin up front

Nobody ever said we were thin up front when Rashaan was here.
I wonder if Djery can take a step forward in his play. He should be able to give us 15-20 minutes a game if needed. That would allow Tre to move to the 4 at times.

Why can't we do something like this to enhance our turn out/interest? PC does this every year...

The article states that this is the first time PC has brought in an act like this to help. They've been doing opening night/midnight madness for (30) years...

Villanova gets Cardi B to promote their top-notch basketball skills. UMass gets Cardi B to promote their top-notch Tinder-swiping skills.

McCall doing the strong man Friday workouts that the team has been going through this summer.

McCall pulling his truck with the whole team on it and yelling is the type of content I’m talking about..

Looks like a guy who can't relate to players or isn't social enough at gatherings.

Maybe I'm just a cranky old bastard, but I have absolutely no interest in the strongman Friday content. Maybe they'd be more interesting to me if these were the football players, since that's a "strongman" type of sport. I'd much rather see basketball related videos. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the guys are getting bigger and stronger, but I prefer my basketball players to be able to play basketball.

I tend to roll my eyes at most offseason/preseason stuff. Every year, every team works hard, transforms their bodies, comes together, etc. There used to probably be an article or two about it by the beat writers but now with social media it’s all over the place (insert some sort of pic of a player “in the lab”) all the time.

Then the season comes along and the results don’t seem to always go hand-in-hand with that work. And the chemistry doesn’t always match those smiles during the team building exercises. Have been there, heard that.

Having said all that, sometimes the play and chemistry do reflect the offseason work. Given the amount of turnover both in staff and roster, I can only hope that’s the case this season — maybe the total reset changes the attitude across the board. Might not manifest itself in terms of record given the youth, but shit, everything can only get better.

It’s a long offseason, man.

bottom line, our head coach is a pretty wiry little guy.
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

Hey Juice, I hear what you're saying, but this time of year is the time for the heavy workout stuff to get bigger, stronger, leaner etc. Can't really do this stuff in season too much, so its the focus now. Its a long year if its hoopin 24/7. Lets just hope it pays off and it brings them all together more to be tight knit team. Transformation like hockey would be mint.

If it hasn’t been reported yet I will rn... UMass incoming freshman John Buggs seems to have really messed his knee up... I know he just got surgery on something the other day idk if it was his knee or not but I can confirm via his social media that Buggs knee is messed up
Can anybody confirm this? I feel for Buggs. Everything I have seen about him has been positive regarding his enthusiasm and attitude. Maybe he will be forced to take a redshirt this year, rehab and be ready to go next year.
