I wonder if the Akron game is part of a football package as well seeing as how the football team is playing them the next 2 seasons.
I haven't seen that announced anywhere but based on history I would certainly think that is possible, if not probable.

The game at Harvard is set for Saturday, 12/7, per our old friend Steve Hewitt.

This is good news for the UM fan base that will, again, take over Lavietes Pavilion.

Steve also says Harvard will pay us back with a game in Amherst next year.

Didn't they at one time play NHL preseason games at various college campuses? Be awesome to see the B's and Colorado play at the Mullins

Non-conf dates finalized.

What we haven't heard yet, mostly date lock-ins:
10/29 exhibition vs WNEU (Springfield D3 program)
11/5 UM Lowell, our home opener for the fourth straight season
11/12 Northeastern at home
11/23 Virginia game set for Noon at Mohegan.
11/24 - assuming we can't get past UVA, I think we get the 3:30 game. I think the "championship" game gets the 1:00 timeslot.
11/29 at Rutgers (Black Friday)
12/4 South Carolina. Bummer that the biggest non-conf name gets a weekday game, but I guess we had to take what we could get. They didn't make it up here last season at all, to return the game from two years ago.
12/20 Maine. We also had a Friday of Christmas break game last season, and it was a 3:30 start. Let's see if we repeat that experiment.
12/30 at Akron.

Shows Webster Bank Arena for Fairfield. Will see if that’s right.

I thought this piece by that Touri kid at The Collegian was really good:

https://dailycollegian.com/2019/07/tour ... ergy-back/

I’ve seen some folks on Twitter go a little over-the-top in their praise of Touri as a writer (he’s very good but jeesh there have been some overboard tweets.)

One point he makes that I agree with is about McCall finding success with a roster of like-minded players. Left unsaid is the point that he seems to struggle a bit when he has a roster of players who don’t share his mindset. I think the best coaches are either able to find success with all sorts of players or are able to consistently put together rosters that best suit their coaching styles.

McCall — while he has clearly shown some coaching ability at times during his career — hasn’t proven much in regard to either of those things. I think if he does prove one of those things, it will be the latter. It’s still early in his coaching career, though.

Hopefully he’s learning from some of his struggles. I would say I’m 66% optimistic that this year will be a nice step forward for both him and the program.

Touri can write. Best I've ever seen at the Collegian, which is very high praise considering some of the talent that's come through there.

Better written article in the Collegian than any of our local rags "covering" Minutemen BB. We may go further than I previously thought.

^ Walfish is no slouch. He hasn't quite filled Vautour's shoes yet at the DHG, but that was a high bar. And Touri is raising the stakes from the amateur side also.

I like walfish but I think touri is better partially because has a unique perspective of being with mccall from the start. I also like his writing/narrative style
