Winthrop admins could be feeling good knowing that they will have Kelsey for the rest of his life. Or perhaps they feel like puking. I don't understand why Kelsey would get involved with NKU in the first place. How is it a step up from Winthrop?

Is NKU even a better job than Winthrop?

I had the same thought when I heard he was a candidate at NKU, it ceratinly doesn't seem like a step up. Regardless, he's left way too many schools hanging and needs a good old fashioned stoning

NKU has to be pretty damn close to his hometown in Cincy, especially when you consider the Cincinnati International Airport is actually in North Kentucky.. That is the only real reason I can think of.

With the Blakeney hiring at Howard, only the North Dakota job remains open:

The Michigan job is suddenly open. John Beilein just took the Cleveland Cavaliers job.

(UM connection: Beilein was 3-0 versus UMass, 2 at Richmond, 1 at West Virginia.)

I think it'd be fun if Ed Cooley got the job and then did a podcast trashing Pipkins as the explanation for why he was leaving. And, for good measure, added that he "didn't give a damn" about how Providence did next year.

The Detroit Free Press whipped up a list of people who could replace Beilein at Michigan:
https://www.freep.com/story/sports/coll ... 188924001/

On the list is Mike White from Florida. That one seems a bit of a stretch. He has built a good resume in his time at UF, and making good coin. Why leave from the SEC to the Big 10?

But if that does happen, I think McCall would be drooling at the chance to get back to Florida, where he built his career.

Will be interesting to see how the Michigan thing shakes out. Michigan might also want to promote from within, and prevent further roster turnover with transfers and decommits. (But I have no familiarity with who their top assistant is.)

No way would Florida hire McCall at this point. He hasn't proved at all that he can succeed at the job.
